South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region issued 11 guidelines on Feb 9 on curbing the spread of the novel coronavirus in cities and counties of the region, as well as further strengthening the epidemic prevention and control efforts at various places.

The 11 guidelines cover all aspects of social work and life. Specific prevention and control measures have been developed for responsible units in public places, such as trading markets, factories and enterprises, shopping malls, hotels, public transportation, long-distance passenger transportion, as well as schools.

Based on the current knowledge of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, relevant guidelines for family related prevention and control have been put forward, with detailed recommendations on daily routine prevention measures for families, treatment methods when suspicious symptoms occur, as well as family cleaning, preventive disinfection, and related precautions.

The guidelines also include disinfection measures on coronavirus control, providing recommendations and instructions for daily cleaning and preventive disinfection, as well as common disinfectants and preparation in 11 types of places, such as familiy homes, conference venues, markets, factories and enterprises, shopping malls, hotels, public transportation, elderly care institutions, as well as schools at all levels.
