Barcelona, Spain will be showcased at the upcoming China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), participating online in the event for the first time from Nov 27 to 30, the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on Nov 23.
A total of 30 companies from the purchasing delegation of overseas Chinese businessmen in Spain will carry out online negotiations for purchasing products spanning general merchandise, hardware mechanical and electrical goods, home textiles, plastic products, as well as medical and health protection supplies.
Lin Nan, consul general of China in Barcelona, said that the organization of this year's CAEXPO will further help China foster a new development paradigm with domestic circulation as the main focus, with domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other.
Xavier Mayo Torres, an official managing external economic promotion from Barcelona, said that the city is hoping to expand its Asian market through CAEXPO.
Torres added that Barcelona enjoys an excellent geographic location with abundant port resources. He also expressed his hopes that more people can travel to the city or invest in it in the future.
