Liuzhou Steel Group and the Guangxi branch of China Mobile signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Feb 3 to deepen integration between industry and technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence.
The agreement is expected to push forward the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry.
Liuzhou Steel Group is the largest iron and steel company in South China, West China and the Pan-Beibu Gulf Area.
It has carried out close cooperation with the Guangxi branch of China Mobile, and the two parties have teamed up with 5G equipment manufacturers to build mechanical loaders with precise remote control and live high definition video feeds.
Pan Shiqing, chairman of Liuzhou Steel Group, said that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in informatization, promote the application of 5G in the factory, and facilitate processes including data collection, transformation, processing and application, aiming to make contributions to the high-quality development of the company.
Lou Xiangping, chairman of the Guangxi branch of China Mobile, noted that the company will make full use of its network, technology and resource advantages to further explore areas spanning intelligent logistics and the application of AI to help Liuzhou Steel Group achieve more breakthroughs.
