Daily necessities in Baise, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are in stable supply and can meet residents' basic demands, officials from the Commerce Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced on Feb 7.
Ten major stores and supermarkets now have over 100 metric tons of grain in storage, while the city also has 200 tons of municipal emergency grain products and 1 million packages of instant noodles.
In Baise's Debao county, all daily necessities are in adequate supply and prices went up slightly, yet remained stable.
Officials noted that a joint ensuring mechanism has been set up to help Baise and other counties or villages that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, a supply network involving the whole autonomous region has taken shape to seek support immediately from companies storing living materials, such as grain, vegetables, pigs, as well as aquatic products.
Railway and road express channels have been opened for the transportation of living materials, while temporary distributions centers of daily necessities have been set up in Baise.
