A 75-member delegation of medical workers from south China's Guangdong Province left for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Monday at the request of the SAR government to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
Consisting of 36 doctors and 39 nurses, the team's members come from 14 top public hospitals in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Foshan.
They are professional work staff or experts in respiratory, nephrology, cardiovascular and elderly-related diseases.
Most of them are proficient in both the Cantonese and English languages.
They will work at the Asia World-Expo community.
The patients in this community are mainly elderly, most of whom have underlying diseases and are at high risk for severe and critical conditions.
