An agreement to deliver the third and fourth batches of COVID-19 vaccine doses provided by China to Vietnam was signed during an online meeting held on April 8. It was also the first initiative of its kind undertaken by the Commerce Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Cai Lixin, executive vice-chairman of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said that Guangxi will deepen cooperation with Vietnam in areas spanning COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, trade, investment, as well as exchanges to further build a China-ASEAN shared community.
Zhou Mi of the Commerce Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said that Guangxi will cooperate with Vietnam and grasp development opportunities, such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), to establish a facilitated coordination mechanism to ensure the smooth operation of the China-Vietnam border.
