The largest makeshift hospital in Shanghai for COVID-19 patients closed on Tuesday.
The makeshift hospital converted from the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) has received 174,000 COVID-19 patients since April 9 when it opened, accounting for 27.8 percent of the total number of the city’s COVID-19 patients.
The makeshift hospital has produced more than 3,000 metric tons of pandemic-related garbage over the past 53 days, which has been appropriately disposed.
Shanghai on Tuesday reported five new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 10 new asymptomatic cases, according to the municipal health commission on Wednesday.
