A promotion fair on the pilot departure land port tax refund policy on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor was held by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Xi'an, Shaanxi province on Aug 14.
The strategic cooperation framework agreement on the Xi'an-Beibu Gulf Port sea-rail intermodal train incorporating the departure land port tax refund policy was signed during the ceremony and the regular operation of the train route was also announced, offering a stable, safe, efficient, as well as convenient logistics transport artery for enterprises in Shaanxi province and nearby areas.

Miao Qingwang, vice chairman of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said that Shaanxi is an important economic center in West China and is the start of the ancient Silk Road, while Beibai in Guangxi is the departure port of the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
Miao added that Guangxi will work with Shaanxi in further optimizing communication and coordination mechanisms to move forward the construction of major infrastructure projects, turning the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor into the shortest, cheapest, and most efficient passage connecting China and ASEAN.
Liu Kuanren, vice chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, expressed hope that entrepreneurs will grasp opportunities brought by the Shaanxi-Guangxi integrated development and the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, seeking further development in areas spanning innovation, advanced manufacturing, modern service, green transformation, distinctive agriculture, as well as cultural tourism consumption.
