Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, established friendship-city ties with Bac Giang, Vietnam on Aug 24 during an online video conference for cross-border industrial chain cooperation.

Liao Liyong, mayor of Nanning, noted that Nanning is willing to cooperate with Bac Giang to jointly build the Nanning-Hanoi economic corridor, promote the integrated development of cross-border industrial and supply chains, facilitate cross-border logistics channels, and deepen people-to-people exchanges.

Bac Giang is an important hub for cross-regional transportation and has set up several industrial parks. Lots of domestic and overseas enterprises managing electronic information, machinery manufacturing, new materials and food processing have settled in Bac Giang, which strongly support local economic development.

Bac Giang officials put forward that the city is looking forward to deepening its friendship and exchanges with Nanning and strengthening exchanges and cooperation in areas such as the economy, culture, education, tourism and sports for beneficial mutual development.
