Shenzhen has officially passed regulation of artificial intelligence, making it the first local government in China to establish targeted policies for the sector, according to a local government conference held on Wednesday.
The regulation is regarded as of great significance to the emerging industry.
As a pioneer for relevant legislation across the country, the newly passed regulation will provide legal support to AI industry development.
Regulations of the digital economy and foreign investment were also passed at the conference.
