Located in the southern borderland of China, Pingxiang is 2,500 kilometers away from China's capital Beijing, but only 160 kilometers away from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. By virtue of its superior geographical location, Pingxiang has been serving as the most convenient borderland passage from China to Vietnam and even ASEAN. In August 2017, the first China-Vietnam train departed from Pingxiang to Hanoi. Connecting the market of mainland China with that of ASEAN, China-Vietnam trains have established a fast sales network of products between the two sides.
