Located on the border of China and Vietnam, Chongzuo is the most important producing area of sugar in China. Its annual output of sugar accounts for one-fifth of the country's total, making it the "sugar city of China". With the government's support, Chongzuo's sugarcane growers have introduced advanced growing technologies, which sent their income from sugarcane planting beyond 10 billion yuan.
