The Xixiangtang district marriage registration office in Nanning started operation on Oct 31, becoming Guangxi's first garden-style marriage registration office, while also providing a unique atmosphere with a sense of ceremony for newly-weds.
Huang Qiang, deputy head of Xixiangtang district, said that the overall decoration of the office features the beautiful scenery alongside the Yongjiang River.

Large red Chinese characters of "喜" (happiness) and red lanterns are hung in the office, while nine distinctive happiness stations are set up, promoting traditional Chinese virtue.
The office is open from 8:30 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. It is recommended that people who want to handle affairs in the office make reservations online.
