Four cities and two autonomous prefectures in Southwest China jointly launched high-quality tourism routes featuring healthy lifestyles in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Nov 9.

Representatives of tourism departments and travel agencies from Kunming in Yunnan province, Nanning and Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Guiyang, Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture and Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture of Guizhou province promoted their tourism routes during the launching ceremony.

All aforementioned areas enjoy picturesque scenery, rich cultural resources and unique customs and established a cultural tourism promotion association in October 2020. Since then, the six areas have held several tourism promotion fairs.

It was also announced during the event that the six areas will continue to integrate local tourism resources and widen cooperation channels, as well as become tourism destinations and markets for each other.

It is expected that tourism in Southwest China will grow into an even stronger industry as a result of these efforts.
