Nearly 60 Thai students participated in the Online Experiencing Camp "Chinese Bridge" of Guangxi Normal University from Nov 1 to 7, which shed light on traditional Chinese and local Guilin culture.

The seven-day event contained seven courses on Chinese philosophy, literature, arts, architecture, festivals, and local people's daily life.

Li Dongmei, head of the College of International Culture and Education (CICE) of Guangxi Normal University, said that the event was the first of its kind that the university has held online for students from Thailand. The event provided students a close look at traditional Chinese culture, enabling them to experience the unique customs of Guilin and feel the charm of Chinese culture.

Liu Yue'e, Party secretary of CICE, expressed hope that all attendees of the camp can learn more about the culture of Guilin and China, as well as make more contributions to the people-to-people bond between China and Thailand.

Liu Hui, head of the Confucius Institute of Prince of Songkla University in south Thailand, noted that the online camp was a very rare opportunity for students.
