The 2022 Guilin Festival is scheduled to lift its curtain on Dec 10 in Guilin, a famous tourism city in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, after nearly six months of preparation.

A total of 128 performances such as operas, dances, concerts, puppet shows and comedies by famous artists and art troupes from both home and abroad will be staged in the nine-day event at 10 venues citywide, presenting an innovative gift for Guilin residents to welcome in the upcoming new year.

It is expected that the 2022 Guilin Festival will let more people know that Guilin not only has splendid natural scenery but also possesses profound cultural and artistic foundations.

People who are interested in the performances can make reservations for the free events. Artists and scholars from literary circles and opera troupes will also pay on-site visits to four colleges and two middle schools in Guilin for discussions with students in areas of art creation and cross-cultural art exchange, as well as technology and art.
