Guangxi's overall import and export volume of agricultural products with Vietnam in the first 11 months of 2022 went up by 33.1 percent year-on-year. The total value has now reached 12.87 billion yuan ($1.8 billion), thanks to the closer Sino-Vietnam cooperation in agricultural products.

Since 2022, various Vietnamese agricultural products have been approved to enter the Chinese market such as passion fruit, durian, bananas and bird's nests. The import and export volume of Vietnamese agricultural products has accounted for nearly 23.6 percent of Guangxi's total.

Of note, the monthly growth rate of Guangxi's import and export volume of agricultural products turned from negative to positive in September. In November, both the import and export volume and the growth rate of Guangxi's import and export volume of agricultural products have been the highest recorded in 2022.

Statistics from Nanning Customs shows that the total import and export volume of Guangxi's foreign trade in the first 11 months of 2022 increased by 7.6 percent to 589.46 billion yuan and that the volume in November climbed by 32.7 percent to 76.07 billion yuan.

The region's import and export volume with ASEAN in the first 11 months reached 246.17 billion yuan and its monthly growth rate has been maintaining a double-digit growth for five consecutive months. The volume between Guangxi and Saudi Arabia in the first 11 months surged 11 times.

Officials of Nanning Customs note that the Beibu Gulf Port has opened eight new foreign trade shipping routes and the port has helped bring a total import and export volume of 293.94 billion yuan to Nanning, Beihai, Qinzhou and Fangchenggang in the January-November period.
