Four hundred robots in total donated by Huaqiao University in Fujian Province will serve the Chinese language and culture education in Chinese schools in the Philippines.
This batch of robots with a height of 23.7 centimeters was sent to the Philippines last week and has passed the test of the Philippine Chinese Education Research Center.
As the first customized robots for Chinese language and culture education, they contain the content of 1-12 Philippine Chinese textbooks, with language learning application modules and human-computer interaction function modules designed.
Wang Huazhen, in charge of research and development of the robot from Huaqiao University, said that the Philippine Chinese Education Research Center will hold introduction meetings for these robots in order to give them full play in telling China and Fujian’s stories well and promote people-to-people bonds between China and the Philippines.
Today, Huaqiao University has established a series of platforms for Chinese language and culture education, including a deep learning platform, intelligent management platform for research and study, activity registration platform, and visualization platform of a young volunteer talent pool.
A range of online activities of Chinese language and culture education have been held through various forms by the university, including Chinese language classes for foreign government officials, which have been held for 17 consecutive years.
