Nanning Second Middle School in southwest China's Guangxi Province confirmed that it allows students to bring their pets to campus as long as they are fully vaccinated.

The pets should be placed in a certain area at school and are forbidden to enter classes. Students are also required to participate in the daily feeding and cleaning of their pets. The school hopes that students will understand that humans must love, protect and care for animals, and shoulder their responsibilities.

Each student must stick to the prescribed convention after submitting a special school entry application for their pets.

The convention stipulates that when taking pets out to green areas or squares, students must make sure to tie the pet with a leash and carry tools for cleaning up their waste. Actions like sniffing or jumping on people are prohibited.

After surveying student psychology, the student clubs put forward the proposal and formed a bill on how to manage pets. After comprehensive consideration, the school decided to put the idea into practice, a teacher from the school's moral education office said.

As a new semester just started, the school has not yet received any pet applications from students, the teacher said.
