The first National Student (Youth) Sports Game is scheduled to take place in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in November this year.
The event was created through the merging of the previous National Student Sports Game and the National Youth Sports Game. It will be jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education, China's General Administration of Sports and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.
It is expected that the event will promote the reform and development of sports education in schools and help to cultivate more sports talents.
This year's session will include 65 competitions, of which 18 will feature winter sports. In addition, Guangxi will organize 41 summer sports programs, with around half of them set to take place in Nanning, while the others will be held in other Guangxi cities.
