The 21st Hechi Bronze Drum Folk Song Art Festival will be held in Tian'e county, Hechi, from April 17 to 19. The preparatory and mobilization conference for the event was held recently, focusing on various preparations for the festival.
The festival will include several activities, such as an opening ceremony, an investment promotion conference, a mass cultural performance, a non-material cultural heritage exhibition, a folk song competition, an art exhibition, and a cultural and food experience exhibition. Various other experiential activities for tourists will also be organized to promote Tian'e's cultural tourism projects.
The Hechi Tonggu Shange Art Festival has been held every year since 1999 in various counties of Hecai. It has become the largest cultural event and a unique attraction of Hecai, as well as an important platform for external exchange and cooperation. It is also one of three major art festivals in Guangxi, along with the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival and the Guilin Landscape Tourism Festival. In 2011, it was named one of the "Top 10 brand festivals in China."
This year's festival will promote the idea that "culture benefits the people and culture brings happiness to the people" by showcasing outstanding local cultural works in various activities, including the intangible cultural heritage exhibition, mass cultural performance, folk song competition, and art exhibition. These events aim to facilitate communication among visitors and ethnic groups from different regions.
