More than 120 Malaysian enterprises will participate in the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), announced officials of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation on March 17, during a CAEXPO global roadshow in Kuala Lumpur.
Other economic and trade promotion events, such as matchmaking fairs, live streams and social media promotions, will also be held during this year's CAEXPO.
China is a major export market for key Malaysian products, including mechanical, electrical, mineral, and rubber products. The CAEXPO has been assisting distinctive Malaysian products in entering the Chinese market, and many Chinese purchasers who frequent the CAEXPO will buy Malaysian products, such as bird's nest, durian and coffee.
The bilateral trade volume between China and Malaysia in 2022 went up by 15.3 percent to $203.59 billion, hitting a historical high. Moreover, China has been Malaysia's biggest trade partner for 14 consecutive years.
