From March 30 to April 2, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region delegation went to Vietnam to conduct visits, discussions, matchmaking, and signing activities to deepen China-Vietnam agricultural cooperation. The delegates come from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Rural Revitalization Bureau, the CPC Guangxi Committee, the Guangxi Government, and the economy and trade field.

During this visit to Vietnam, the Guangxi delegation and the Vietnam side reached agricultural cooperation projects with a signed amount of nearly RMB 10 billion, including the construction of a Vietnamese seafood product trading center at Fangchenggang, as well as the purchase and export of fresh durian, fruit pulp, dried pepper, and dried longan.

Bilateral agricultural trade has developed steadily. In 2022, the import and export trade volume of agricultural products between Guangxi and Vietnam was RMB 14,486 million. Guangxi"s export of agricultural products to Vietnam amounted to RMB 9,293 million, a year-on-year increase of 33.67%, accounting for 62.5% of Guangxi's export of agricultural products.

Agricultural science and technology exchanges between the two sides have become increasingly frequent. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region continues to support enterprises such as Guangxi Wanchuan Seed Co., Ltd. to build and operate China (Guangxi)-Vietnam excellent crop variety test station in Vietnam, to actively introduce new crop varieties, conduct the test and demonstration of new technologies, and implement the exchange and training of agricultural technicians.

Industrial cooperation in agriculture between the two sides has gradually increased. Guangxi agricultural enterprises will be supported in Vietnam"s Lang Son Province to build and improve the Vietnam-China (Guangxi) Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone, propel enterprises such as Guangxi Mingyang Biochemical Group and Guangxi Tianyuan Biochemistry Co., Ltd. to realize the "going out" strategy and carry out agricultural investment cooperation in Vietnam.
