Guangxi has arranged exchanges between 34 local vocational colleges with colleges in ASEAN member countries, announced Li Xiaoyong, a member of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, during a press conference on April 7.

Of note, three exchange projects between Guangxi and ASEAN vocational colleges have been selected as distinctive cooperation projects, contributing to the construction of the China-ASEAN Education Opening-up and Cooperation Pilot Zone.

Guangxi's vocational colleges have been sharing education resources with ASEAN countries in recent years. They have also been helping overseas Chinese enterprises and ASEAN countries to cultivate technical talents by setting up talent training centers and bases.

Guangxi has also held six sessions of the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum, and has set up several education associations that focus on border vocational education and rail traffic vocational education.

In addition, officials of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region noted that Guangxi will jointly run schools with ASEAN countries, as well as promote the mutual recognition of vocational education standards to upgrade China-ASEAN education cooperation.
