Southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is actively promoting enterprises to go global and participate in international economic and trade cooperation.
The "MAC Dalian" vessel carrying 103 engineering vehicles departed from the Qinzhou Bonded Port in Guangxi to Russia's Nakhodka on Tuesday.
These vehicles were produced by Liugong Group Co., Ltd. in Liuzhou City, Guangxi, and would arrive in Nakhodka through land and sea transportation.
Guangxi Liugong Group Co. has 20 manufacturing bases around the world, with clients covering more than 130 countries and regions.
With the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) taking effect, the group is accelerating its operation in overseas markets. In the first quarter this year, Liugong's exports of engineering machinery increased significantly year-on-year, with overseas sales exceeding 7,000 units, a 40 percent increase year-on-year, according to the company.
Thanks to the RCEP, more than 90 percent of goods traded within the region will enjoy zero tariffs, bringing new opportunities for industrial development.
In the production workshop of the China-ASEAN New Energy Electric Vehicle Production Base, located in the Gangbei District of Guigang City, Guangxi, brand-new electric vehicles are being produced one after another.
Currently, the base has attracted more than 100 companies, with over 50 in operation. It has an annual production capacity of 5 million two-wheeled electric vehicles, 500,000 three-wheeled electric vehicles, and 5 million sets of electric vehicle components.
"The new energy electric vehicle industry is flourishing, and prospects for the ASEAN market are promising. We will seize opportunities brought by the RCEP and cultivate the electric vehicle industry into a major one for Guangxi's exports to ASEAN, promoting coordinated development of the New Land-Sea Corridor in the western region," said Qin Lu, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guibei district Committee in Guigang City.
