Over 800 businesspeople from across the world including China, South Africa, Russia, Indonesia, and other countries participated in the Global Customer Day held by the Liugong Machinery based in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Monday.
Compared with other international construction machinery brands, those manufactured by Chinese enterprises are more cost-efficient and perform better in production safety and efficiency, said the representative of ASB Minerals from South Africa.
“Price for us is a big thing in South Africa. We can get a better price but the fuel efficiency stays the same. Production is key and production is very important and safe machines. Liugong is definitely a good brand if you compare it with the other international brands,” he said.
With a history of 65 years, Liugong has more than 300 distributors, 30 overseas subsidiaries and institutions and five global R&D bases around the world. Its products are exported to more than 170 countries and regions such as the United States, Indonesia and Brazil, and it is becoming stronger in adapting to overseas markets.
Xie Hunyang, a regional salesperson of Liugong South Africa, said Liugong applies different products to customers and provides customized services.
“For example, in South Africa, most of our customers engage in the mining industry so we will go to the site and make some adaptive improvements of our equipment according to the working conditions and their demands,” Xie said.
With the development of clean energy in the Middle East region, new energy construction machinery from Liugong is gradually becoming an option for local customers, said Ajima, a regional salesperson of Liugong Middle East.
“Fuel is cheaper in the Middle East, and most merchants are still using diesel vehicles now, but some countries have strict requirements in environment protection. Sales of electric forklifts has just begun and we sell about 100 electric forklifts each year,” the sales said.
Nowadays, the overseas business of many listed construction machinery companies in China has generally increased in the overall revenue. For example, in 2022, the export sales revenue of Zoomlion increased by over 70 percent year-on-year and Sany Heavy Industry"s overseas market revenue reached 36.571 billion yuan, accounting for nearly half of its total revenue.
