The 2023 Guangxi (Pingxiang) China-Vietnam Border Tourism Festival will be held from June 26 to 29, when representatives from China and Vietnam will gather together to reaffirm cooperation and development agreements.

Pingxiang is located in South China and borders Vietnam's Tinh Lang Son, which is known as the "south gate of the motherland" and is one of the cities in China that are the closest to ASEAN countries.

The Youyiguan border gate is the largest land checkpoint and the most convenient international trade channel between China and Vietnam and even ASEAN.

This year's festival, hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Chongzuo municipal people's government, will highlight economic, trade and cultural exchanges as well as cooperation between China and Vietnam in the border area.

A series of exhibitions, forums, economic, cultural and sports activities will take place in Pingxiang suring this time, such as the China-Vietnam Football Invitational Tournament, the 2023 China (Pingxiang)-ASEAN Import and Export Fair and the promotion conference for the Chongzuo area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The 2023 China (Pingxiang)-ASEAN Import and Export Fair will be held on June 27 in Pingxiang, and will feature both indoor and outdoor exhibition areas.

The indoor exhibition area covers a total area of 4,800 square meters, opening 90 booths that focus on electronic and hardware products, miscellaneous products, high-quality fruits and famous specialty products. The outdoor area will be for the exhibition of small vehicles, and large machinery and equipment. The outdoor area will also be the dining and leisure area.

More than 70 high-quality enterprises from Beijing, Hunan, Henan, Guangdong and Guangxi have now confirmed their participation.

Officials from Pingxiang said that the city aims to seize new RCEP opportunities and accelerate its national logistics hub construction by holding the festival. This will boost the healthy development of trade processing and cultural tourism in Pingxiang, as well as comprehensively deepen cooperation and development between Pingxiang and ASEAN countries.
