Since establishing the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Special Fund in 2017, the Chinese government has supported implementing 779 projects in six countries along the Lancang-Mekong River, according to Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian on June 15 in Phnom Penh.
On the same day, China and Cambodia signed an agreement on cooperation projects for Cambodia under the LMC Special Fund 2023 in Phnom Penh. The nine cooperation projects signed this time cover many fields, including transportation and logistics, information systems, food security, capacity building, and the protection of cultural heritage.
