In the past few months, four Chinese automakers, including BYD, Neta Auto, GWM, and SAIC Motor, have invested over 15 billion yuan in Thailand. Chang"an Automobile and Chery Automobile also announced their plans to invest and build factories in Thailand.

Thailand is actively attracting electric vehicle manufacturers from across Asia, Europe, and the Americas to invest in the country. This is aimed at strengthening Thailand's electric vehicle ecosystem and related industries and achieving the goal of becoming the electric vehicle manufacturing hub in the ASEAN region, building on the foundation of being known as the "Detroit of the East".
