The 18th China-ASEAN Cultural Forum kicked off on June 19 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

With the theme "Smart Libraries Construction and Reading Promotion", the forum was designed to facilitate exchange on the development visions of China and ASEAN countries in such aspects as smart library construction and nationwide reading, the restoration, protection, and reading promotion of ancient books in libraries, and international collaboration in libraries and book publishing, so as to foster common prosperity of cultural industries of these countries.
