The 2023 China (Selenium-enriched) Pingnan Shixia Longan Festival and the Pingnan County"s Celebration Activity for the "China Farmers' Harvest Festival" will be held in Pingnan Shixia Longan Demonstration Area , Anhuai Town, Pingnan County, on August 8. Live-streaming marketing, exhibitions and sales of characteristic agricultural products and art performances, among other activities, will be organized.

As the "Hometown of Shixia Longan in China," Pingnan County is home to the largest county-level Shixia Longan production base and the only mother bush garden of Shixia Longan in China. Notably, Pingnan Shixia Longan has obtained national geographical indications for agricultural products. Now, there grows a total of more than 200,000 mu of Shixia Longan in Pingnan County, which can produce 200,000 tons of Shixia Longan and achieve an output value of nearly RMB 1.4 billion in a bumper year. Specifically, the standardized production base for green food covers an area of 135,000 mu, accounting for 67.5% of the total planting area of Shixia Longan in the county.
