Guangxi and ASEAN countries have a lot to offer each other in the fruit industry. For years, Guangxi"s fertile orange (Orah Mandarin) , kumquat, tangerine, and grape are sold well in ASEAN countries.

On July 21, the government of Guangxi announced the construction of the China-ASEAN Fruit Trading Center to create a regional fruit distribution center for ASEAN countries. As China opens wider to ASEAN countries, Guangxi located in China's southern frontier area enjoys a geographical advantage. Taking advantage of the campaigns to promote Guangxi's products at home and abroad, Guangxi has taken multiple measures to sell more kinds of higher-quality fruits to ASEAN countries on a larger scale.

Thus, a sound development pattern for the fruit industry can be formed where Guangxi plays the leading role, close connections are established with ASEAN countries and the two regions are complementary to each other and sell fruits in each other's markets. (Bo)
