The crisp and sweet pearl plum is native to areas at altitudes above 500 meters in Tian"e County, Hechi, Guangxi. On one e-commerce platform, 5 kilograms of pearl plums are priced at RMB 100–120.
Known as the 'kingdom' of plums, Guangxi showcases a wide array of plum varieties since March every year. Some notable ones include the Huangla plum, Yanzhi plum, and Bingcui plum. (Ying)
