On August 14, concentrated durian picking began in Chumphon Province, a durian producing area in southern Thailand, witnessing the first cooperation between southern Thailand producing areas and Chinese companies in concentrated durian picking. Later, the collaborative picking will be carried out in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phang Nga, Ranong and other provinces in the southern producing areas successively until the end of the production season in January 2024. All the picked durians will be shipped to China for sale.

Since Thailand durian came into Chinese market, its price has fluctuated greatly due to factors such as rising source prices and short supply. In order to provide consumers with imported durians from Thailand at high quality, low price and stable supply, JD Supermarket has reached a strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Thailand and the southern orchard, one of the main producing areas of durian in Thailand.
