The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released a list on Aug 25, proposing to recommend 256 villages as the beautiful leisure villages in China for the year 2023.
Among them, Changli village in Wu'ai town, Nandan county of Hechi is expected to be selected.
Changli, located about 15 kilometers from Wu'ai town, boasts beautiful scenery, a pleasant climate and abundant tourism resources. A prime example is the Nandan Danlu Mountain Forest Tourism Demonstration Area.
Covering an area of 6,510 mu (434 hectares), the demonstration area has a forest coverage rate of 82 percent, with a negative oxygen ion content of 15,000-30,000 per cubic centimeter. The area is rich in diverse flora and fauna.
The Danlu Mountain Scenic Area is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The mountain hosts a well-preserved alchemy site from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
The scenic area features natural landscapes and fun activities, making it a great tourist destination integrating leisure, wellness, sightseeing experiences and popular science education.
