On September 15, the construction of the China-Vietnam Friendship Pass-Friendship Smart Port Project commenced in Pingxiang, Chongzuo City, Guangxi. This groundbreaking project marks the first-ever cross-border smart port collaboration between China and Vietnam. Together, both nations will develop a dedicated intelligent cross-border freight channel, enabling 24-hour intelligent customs clearance of goods.

The remarkable initiative utilizes satellite navigation and 5G technology to achieve intelligent supervision, streamlined inspections, and automated cross-border transportation of goods. Unmanned container transport vehicles, automatic hoisting equipment, a container inspection system, and an intelligent drawing review system will facilitate these seamless operations. Additionally, an intelligent command and dispatching platform for cross-border logistics information interaction and docking will be implemented. (Bo)
