On October 8, Hisense announced the official signing of a contract with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos for the construction of bus rapid transit (BRT), which has entered the implementation stage.

Reportedly, the project marks Hisense"s initial entry into the Southeast Asian market with its intelligent transportation business, a significant milestone that serves as another benchmark case of Hisense's overseas expansion strategy for its B2B segment. According to the agreement, Hisense will exert its expertise in intelligent transportation system building to construct the first smart modern BRT system covering control centers, platforms and vehicles for the capital of Laos, Vientiane, to further improve the local traffic circulation.
