Two cold chain trains, fully loaded with Yunnan specialty fruits and vegetables, set off simultaneously from Yanhe Station in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, on the morning of October 16. They are expected to reach Vientiane, the Laotian capital, and Vietnam"s Lao Cai after about a day's trip. This marks the official operation launch of China-Laos and China-Vietnam Railway international cold chain freight trains.

It is reported that the China-Laos international cold chain freight train operates using the China-Laos Railway, enabling two-way transportation between Kunming and Yuxi in Yunnan Province and Vientiane in Laos. The entire journey takes 26 hours to complete. Similarly, the China-Vietnam international cold chain freight train travels through the Kunming-Yuxi-Hekou Railway and the China-Vietnam meter-gauge Railway, connecting Kunming and Yuxi in Yunnan with Lao Cai in Vietnam.
