Since the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway started operating, Hechi has attracted an increasing amount of tourists.
During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, Hechi received about 3.5 million tourists, an increase of 82.8 percent compared to the previous year, leading to tourism consumption of 2.59 billion yuan ($354.5 billion), an increase of 116.39 percent compared to the previous year.
Hechi possesses unique cultural, tourism, health, and ecological resources, providing endless possibilities for the development of tourism.
However, in the past, due to transportation limitations, it lagged behind in tourism development.
Before the opening of the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway, Hechi made plans for tourism promotion and marketing. Along the high-speed rail, a batch of health and cultural tourism industry projects were planned.
Since the beginning of this year, the city has focused on promoting 60 cultural and tourism projects, with an annual planned investment of 979.5 million yuan.
In addition, various high-quality tourist routes and preferential measures for scenic spots were introduced, attracting tourists to visit by high-speed rail.
