In recent years, the ecological environment in Hechi has continued to improve, and the city's green industries have been steadily developing.
Hechi boasts vast hilly areas, which are suitable for planting specialty agricultural products, such as chestnuts and tea oil.
Fengshan county has relied on its ecological advantages to develop its healthy food industry. Currently, the annual output of walnuts in the county has reached over 3,300 metric tons, with a total value of 70.4 million yuan ($9.6 million).
Currently, Donglan county has harvested 185,000 mu (12,333 hectares) of chestnuts, attracting a continuous stream of purchasers. This year, the county's fresh chestnut yield is expected to exceed 26,000 tons, with a value of over 150 million yuan.
At present, Hechi's tea oil cultivation area ranks at the forefront of Guangxi. Its silk production scale, beef and mutton production, and freshwater aquaculture area are also ranked highly in the province.
In recent years, Hechi has become a hot spot for health and wellness tourism, sports tourism, and ecological tourism.
At the recently concluded first National Student (Youth) Games Mountain Bike Race, 75 athletes from 14 cities across the country came to compete in the Laxi National Wetland Park, bringing a lot of visitors and popularity to the scenic area.
This year, the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway was put into operation. This is the first high-speed railway in Guangxi with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
Hechi will continue to seize opportunities provided by the high-speed railway, enhance its green industries, and promote green transformation.
