The Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, located in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, became a member of a prestigious global organization on Nov 3.

That's after the executive committee of the Paris-based Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) officially approved its application.

Its admission means the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center has become the 34th UFI member in China and the first exhibition center in Guangxi to become a member of the organization.

This UFI decision is seen as being a full affirmation and recognition of the internationalization, specialization and branding operation of the Nanning center by the global industry, marking its entry into the ranks of international professional exhibition halls.

The UFI is regarded as the most important and influential international organization in the exhibitions industry.

The certification process of the UFI is extremely stringent, requiring venues to meet certain standards in terms of facilities, services and operational capabilities. It is the "gold medal" that signifies global recognition of exhibition quality, strength and internationalization.

Since the start of the year, the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center has hosted 57 exhibitions and over 800 conference activities.

The cumulative exhibition area has reached 4.69 million square meters, with 32 exhibitions each exceeding 10,000 sq m. The number of visitors and the conference attendees of exhibitions and conferences reached 1.13 million during the period.
