On December 8, as the excitement of the inaugural China-ASEAN (Nanning) Culture Month and China-ASEAN (Nanning) Theatre Week continued, Nanning citizens were treated to a captivating showcase of art performances from China and ASEAN countries, including Vietnam.

The play La don thu 72 (The Seventy-second Petition) presented by Le Ngoc Drama Club in Vietnam tells the story of Mr. Do from Haiphong City, who spent eight years in prison for a wrongful conviction in 1966. During his time in prison, he continuously wrote petitions to plead for justice. After sending seventy-two petitions to Ho Chi Minh, he eventually cleared his name. (MXJ)
