On the afternoon of December 8, the Yunnan-Guizhou Lancang-Mekong Express Freight Train of the China-Laos Railway departed from the Dulaying international land-sea logistics port in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China.
The train, loaded with tires and other products made in Guizhou Province, will pass through Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces. It is expected to arrive in Vientiane, Laos after about an eight-day journey. The express freight train is the first international freight train jointly operated by Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces. It will contribute to the construction of a new hub for inland open economy in Guizhou, and the establishment of an important international logistics hub in southwest China, and an international trade transshipment and consolidation center aimed at ASEAN countries.
