Major scenic areas in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region have launched activities as the three-day New Year holiday from Dec 30 to Jan 1 approaches.
The eighth Qingxiu Mountain Chrysanthemum Exhibition in Nanning will be extended until the end of the New Year holiday. More than 150 varieties of chrysanthemums, totaling around 100,000 pots, are on display.
Aiming to let visitors experience the joy and happiness of the Year of the Dragon, the Nanning Yongjiang River Night Cruise will feature special programs such as drone performances and a fireworks waterfall during the holiday.
The Detian Transnational Waterfall Scenic Area in Chongzuo will host a fair where visitors can taste various cuisines and experience the cultural charm of the Year of the Dragon. Additionally, the scenic area will offer activities such as Vietnamese-style performances and lantern riddle guessing for red envelopes.
The Baise Uprising Memorial Park in Baise will present a series of activities during the holiday, including dragon and lion dances and the New Year"s market. Thousands of drones will be deployed to perform a spectacular drone light show to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Moreover, there will be performances showcasing the intangible cultural heritage of molten iron fireworks.
