On December 27, the Fangchenggang-Dongxing Railway in Guangxi officially commenced operations, integrating Dongxing, a city on the China-Vietnam border, into China"s high-speed rail network. Guangxi serves as a major freight transportation corridor between China and Vietnam, with significant amounts of goods passing through Dongxing and Pingxiang in Guangxi for cross-border trade between the two countries.
The new railway directly connects the Chinese border port city to China's high-speed rail network, facilitating faster travel and trade cooperation between China and Vietnam. (Bo)
