On January 4, Guangxi Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference with the theme of "Visit Guangxi: the Land of Splendors" was held in Singapore.

At the event site, the Guangxi culture and tourism promotion ambassador introduced Guangxi"s history and culture, ethnic customs, landscape scenery, longevity and health preservation, etc. The ambassador also introduced practical travel routes such as "Tour of Landscape Culture" and "Tour of Border Exploration". Guangxi Tourism Development Group made investment promotion and presented round-trip air tickets to local people.

Guangxi is one of the major tourism provinces (regions) in China, with beautiful ecological environment, unique ethnic customs, profound cultural background and rich tourism resources. The beautiful landscape of Guilin, the mysterious Huashan rock paintings in Ningming, and the colorful "March 3rd" Festival of the Zhuang nationality are well-known in Singapore.

Guangxi and Singapore have great differences and complementarity in natural landscape, cultural customs, specialty food, etc., which are very attractive to tourists from both sides. Both sides are important tourist sources and destinations for each other. Guangxi has participated in Singapore tourism exhibitions for many times and used traditional festivals of China such as Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival to show the rich ethnic minority culture and festival folk customs of Guangxi to the people of Singapore.
