Myanmar earned over 6.83 billion U.S. dollars from the export of manufacturing goods between April 1 and Dec. 29 last year, according to the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
The revenue was down, as compared to over 8.56 billion dollars registered in the same period a year ago, the ministry's figures showed.
The country's manufacturing goods export earnings during the period comprise over 2.52 billion dollars from the government sector and over 4.31 billion dollars from the private sector.
The export of manufacturing goods during the period secured the top position in Myanmar's export earnings, followed by agricultural products export with 2.31 billion dollars.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural, animal and marine products, minerals, forest products and manufacturing goods to its trade partners, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh and India, according to the ministry.
