The route from Haikou to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam officially commenced operations on January 15, 2024. On that day, travel agencies from nine ASEAN countries formed groups to take a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Haikou. Thanks to the accelerated opening of international routes, the number of tourists from Southeast Asia to Hainan has gradually increased since 2023. Tourists from Southeast Asia could account for about one-third of all the inbound tourists received by Hainan Province. (Bo)
