On January 23, at the invitation of Hou Yanqi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN, and Aung Myo Myint, Permanent Representative of Myanmar (country coordinator for China-ASEAN relations) to ASEAN, the permanent representatives to ASEAN and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to ASEAN visited SGMW Motor Indonesia and its production plant. The ambassadors visited the product exhibition hall and assembly workshop of SGMW Motor Indonesia with great interest, and had a test ride or drive on SGMW’s various fuel-powered, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

The ASEAN ambassadors were deeply impressed by SGMW Motor Indonesia’s modern and intelligent production line. They praised China’s high-quality development and achievements in the automobile industry, especially in the field of new energy vehicles, and expressed their willingness to further draw on China’s experience in low-carbon transformation and green economic development, actively expand pragmatic cooperation, promote the economic and social development and people’s well-being of both sides, and jointly build a clean and beautiful home.
