On January 26, it was learned from China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. that since the start of 2024, there has been an increase in the number of international passengers opting for train travel on the China-Laos Railway, with an occupancy rate of 93.1%.
On the same day, the railway authorities increased the number of cross-border seats on this train to 350, to meet the travel demands of cross-border passengers.
The international passenger train on the China-Laos Railway, running between Kunming in Yunnan Province, China, and Vientiane, the capital of Laos, has become the top choice for both Chinese and foreign travelers for tourism, education, business, and cultural exchanges between China and Laos since its inauguration.
